The Polar Verity Sense (Black) is a versatile optical heart rate sensor designed for accurate heart rate monitoring in various activities including running, cycling, and swimming. To use it, first charge the sensor by placing it in the charging cradle with the metal contacts aligned and connect the cradle to a USB power source. Turn on the sensor by briefly pressing the side button until the green LED lights up. Choose the training mode by pressing the button repeatedly until the LED next to the desired mode lights up: blue for heart rate mode, green for recording mode, and white for swimming mode. Place the sensor in the armband holder with the lens facing up and wear it snugly on your forearm or upper arm, or attach the sensor to the swimming goggle strap clip positioned on the right temple with the button facing up for swimming. After the LEDs light up fully, the sensor is ready to measure your heart rate. Start your training session from your Polar watch or app. After training, stop recording by holding the button until the LEDs turn off, and sync your data to the Polar Flow app or web service for detailed analysis. The sensor supports Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity and can be used in water up to 30 meters. Follow cleaning and maintenance instructions from the manual to prolong sensor life.
